We understand that plans can change. This policy sets out clearly and completely the conditions that apply to any cancellation or modification of your booking with Easy Camino Santiago.

Section 1
The booking is formalised by payment of a deposit of 20% of the total amount, with a minimum of €100. The deposit can be paid by bank card (Visa / Mastercard) via the Stripe secure payment gateway, or by bank transfer to the account indicated during the booking process.
The booking is provisional until Easy Camino Santiago confirms availability of the requested accommodation and services. If we are unable to fulfil your requested dates or any aspect of the trip, we will contact you to propose alternatives or issue a full refund of the deposit within 14 business days.
The remaining balance (80% of the total) is paid once the Easy Camino Santiago team has confirmed and coordinated all services, and always before the start of the Camino.
Section 2
If you need to cancel your booking, the applicable refund depends on how much time remains before the start date of the first booked service:

About timeframesTimeframes are calculated from the date on which Easy Camino Santiago receives the written cancellation request, up to the start date of the first booked service (first accommodation or first transfer). The applicable refund is calculated on the total booking amount, but may never exceed the amount actually paid by the client.
Section 3
When making your booking you can add cancellation protection for 5% of the total price. With this option active, refund conditions improve significantly:

For a booking of €1,000, cancellation protection costs €50. If you need to cancel more than 30 days before departure, you receive the full €1,000 instead of €800. That's a net difference of €150 in your favour. And if you cancel within 30 days, you still receive €800 instead of nothing.
Cancellation protection is not an approved travel insurance product. For additional coverage (illness, accident, cancellation for justified third-party reasons, luggage loss, civil liability), we recommend taking out travel insurance with an external insurer.
Section 4
Modifications must be requested at least 72 hours before the start date of the affected service, by sending a written request to info@easycaminosantiago.com or via WhatsApp at +34 982 907 629.

Modifications are subject to availability. If the requested change implies a price increase (due to seasonal differences, accommodation type or other factors), the difference will be communicated to the client for approval before proceeding. If the change implies a price reduction, no refund of the difference will be made once the change process has begun.
Modification requests received with less than 72 hours notice cannot be accommodated, and the service will be provided under the originally agreed conditions.
Section 5
Regardless of the cancellation timeframe and whether or not cancellation protection is held, the following costs are non-refundable in all circumstances:

Section 6
In the event of extraordinary, unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of either party — such as WHO-declared pandemics, natural disasters directly affecting the route, or official security alerts — Easy Camino Santiago will offer as a priority the following alternatives:
These conditions will apply when the extraordinary circumstances make the provision of the service objectively impossible, and provided the client requests this within 48 hours of becoming aware of those circumstances.
Section 7
In the extraordinary event that Easy Camino Santiago must cancel a confirmed service due to reasons attributable to the agency, the client will be entitled to choose between:
Easy Camino Santiago accepts no responsibility for additional costs the client may have incurred independently (air transport, accommodation before or after the Camino not managed by the agency, visa fees, etc.).
Section 8
To process a cancellation correctly, follow these steps:
Send your cancellation request in writing to info@easycaminosantiago.com or via WhatsApp at +34 982 907 629. Verbal cancellations are not valid.
Include in your message: full name, booking reference (format ECS-XXXXX) and the start date of the service you wish to cancel.
You will receive written confirmation of the cancellation and the applicable refund amount within 24 business hours.
The refund will be processed within a maximum of 14 business days via the same payment method used for the booking.
The effective cancellation date is the date on which Easy Camino Santiago receives the written request, not the date on which the client expresses a verbal intention to cancel.
Section 9
For any matter relating to cancellations, modifications or queries about this policy:
This policy applies to bookings made directly with Easy Camino Santiago. In the event of any discrepancy between this document and any prior communication, the most recent version of this policy published on the website shall prevail.
